Fascioliasis in Buffaloes: An Economic and Public Health Concern

EDITORIAL
Livestock diseases are common and widespread, and an important factor contributing to low productivity. Parasitic infestation is of economic and public health importance (Iqbal et al., 2014; Iqbal and Ashraf, 2017; Muhammad et al., 2015). Fascioliasis is a parasitic disease, caused by Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica, causing substantial economic losses. Fascioliasis is an emerging or re-emerging disease in several regions of the world.
